Founded in 1980, Nokeval has evolved from a manufacturer of measuring instruments into a frontrunner in IoT and environmental monitoring services. In essence, we are a 45-year-old start-up – with €8 million in revenue and a growing team that thrives on continuous development. With that same start-up spirit, we reached the Top 10 finalists in Finland’s Kasvu Open growth company competition this year.
During our first two decades, we focused on designing and manufacturing industrial measurement instruments. That’s where our journey began – from traditional measurement technology toward comprehensive service solutions that combine device development, cloud services, and real-world applications.
Already 25 years ago, we planted the seeds of a solution-driven business. The result was the world’s first wireless self-monitoring service for professional kitchens – today, with our NSnappy® service, we are the market leader in Finland. Since then, we’ve helped numerous Finnish companies bring their innovations to life by designing and manufacturing IoT solutions under their own brands.
For example, for eGate, we developed the world’s only real-time wireless concrete drying monitoring system. With Verto, we created the world’s best apartment-specific water consumption monitoring solution for housing companies. For Vilpe, we have developed roof safety solutions, now being exported to the United States. These all share one thing: a comprehensive service that covers innovation, device and cloud design, and in-house electronics manufacturing.
