Nokeval gains new owners and investments worth millions – new business operations to bring strong growth and jobs

Nokeval Oy, a technology and electronics company known for IoT solutions related to measurement, has gone through a generational change, which also expanded the ownership structure and brought in new management. The capital investments will enable Nokeval to invest in new business operations and personnel, which is why the company is now recruiting fresh professionals. In addition to leveraging digital solutions, Nokeval is seeking growth through ecological and responsible products and services, which it offers in four separate customer segments.

Nokeval Oy, a technology and electronics company known for IoT solutions related to measurement, has gone through a generational change, which also expanded the ownership structure and brought in new management. Jani Vähäsöyrinki will continue as the main shareholder and CEO. The new investors who stepped onboard are Hannu Saarinen, Lari Maasalo, Markku Lukkari and Jori Lukkari, who made jointly invested millions in Nokeval. Nokeval has used the capital investments to update its business operations, organisation and operational management. The new Board Chair is Hannu Saarinen. With the addition of the new owners and experts, Nokeval has gained a team of top professionals and is in the process of recruiting additional staff. As a result, Nokeval’s growth is reinvigorating trade and employment in the entire area.

For the Food Preparation & Hygiene segment, Nokeval has developed a variety of cloud-based platform services. In the future, it will also provide foodservice operators and the food industry with a hygiene solution and, in compliance with the SUP Directive, a responsibly-produced concept for pre-prepared products, which can be used to produce, store and transport ready meals with due consideration to food safety and customer safety.

For the Construction & Environment segment, Nokeval has developed wireless solutions for measuring the conditions in buildings and their environment throughout their life span. The company is also developing a cloud service platform for IoT devices to measure interior air quality, humidity and surface temperature, for example.

For the Industry and other demanding operating environments, Nokeval will continue to offer complete device solutions for processes, quality control, wireless data transfer and remote monitoring.

For the Innovations & Solutions segment, Nokeval provides customised measuring solutions as well as a flexible, customisable and technology-independent cloud service platform for IoT solutions and information collection in all operating environments. This operational area includes product development projects in which solutions are fully tailored to meet specific customer needs. This means that the solution provided can be anything from a measuring device to a cloud service developed for a customer brand, for example.

Nokeval is known as a long-term developer of IoT equipment and services. It has developed applications related to the Internet of Things (IoT) since the early 2000s, in a time when IoT was not yet a known concept. So far, the company has developed and manufactured more than 500 device models. The focus of the operations will continue to be on customer-specific solutions, wireless devices, cloud services and equipment for basic industry. In particular, the new business operations have been driven by the increased needs of companies to utilise digital solutions and, through them, boost performance and cost efficiency. Moreover, especially foodservice operators are urgently seeking responsible solutions that ensure customer safety.
