Optris has been developing and manufacturing innovative infrared measurement devices for non-contact temperature measurement, including handheld thermometers, stationary industrial IR thermometers, and infrared cameras for point and area measurement, for more than 15 years.

Optris infrared cameras

Optris’ infrared cameras are fully radiometric stationary thermographic systems with an excellent price-performance ratio. The thermal imaging cameras are connected to a PC via USB and they are immediately ready to be used. Temperature data is displayed through the license-free analysis software optris PIX Connect.

Optris infrared thermometers and pyrometers for spot measurements are particularly well suited for precise temperature monitoring of industrial manufacturing processes, research and development, and function checks of a diverse range of devices and systems.

Which infrared thermometer is right for me?

The easiest way of finding the right infrared thermometer for your application is using Pyrometer Selector, or during a commitment-free personal consultation with one of our application engineers.

If you still prefer to keep looking for the right pyrometer yourself, you should start by determining the properties of the object surface on which your measurements are to be performed. A particularly important parameter in this respect is emissivity ε.

How can I find the right optics for my infrared thermometer?

The use of the right optics is indispensable in order to achieve precise measurement results. It depends on the size of the object to be measured and the distance between the object and the pyrometer.

IR thermometers for non-metal surfaces: 8-14 µm

This wavelength corresponds to device type LT. Would you like to measure a non-metal surface such as a plastic surface? If so, these are your devices of choice.

Pyrometers for Measuring Temperatures on Films

With a wavelength of 7.9 µm, these infrared thermometers of device type P7 are perfectly suited for measuring temperatures of very thin plastic materials such as PET, PU, PTFE, or PA.

Pyrometers for measuring combustion gases

Pyrometer for measuring temperatures through flames

Workpieces inside furnaces are difficult to measure because the flames surrounding the workpiece distort the measurement results. An IR thermometer with a spectral range of 3.9 µm permitting easy and precise measurements through flames is the solution.

Temperature measurements in laser applications require a stop filter against laser radiation in order to ensure precise measurement results.

Optris CS LT

Perfectly suited for temperature measurement in small and narrow environments. The robust measuring heads have been developed for use in temperature ranges from -40°C to 1,030°C (– 40°F to 1886 °F) and can be employed in ambient temperatures of up to 80°C (176 °F) without additional cooling.

Optris CSmicro 3M

Designed for special spectral range of 2.3 µm which makes it the ideal IR pyrometer for temperature measurement of metallic surfaces starting from 50°C and allows measurements through glass.

The small infrared measuring head is optimally suited for installation in limited spaces and subsequently makes possible an especially cost-efficient mechanical process integration.

Optris CT LT

The pyrometer optris CT LT is equipped with one of the world’s smallest infrared sensors with a high optic resolution of 22:1. Additionally, it offers a high variability due to selectable analog outputs as well as several digital interfaces in the electronics box.

Optris CT 1M / 2M

Due to their short measuring wavelength and the high temperature range of up to 2,200°C the pyrometers optris CT 1M and 2M are ideally suited for employment in high-temperature measurements of metals, metal oxides, and ceramics. The short measuring wavelength of the infrared pyrometers additionally decreases measuring errors during low or changing emission levels.

Due to its short measuring wavelength and a temperature range from 50°C on, the pyrometer optris CT 3M, is ideally suited for employment in low-temperature measurements of metals and composite materials. The quick response time of only 1 ms allows for a problem-free use of the metal thermometer in fast processes.

OPT-CSM2

The pyrometer optris CSmicro 2M has been designed for a temperature range from 250°C to 1,600°C. Its special spectral range of 1.6 µm makes it the ideal IR pyrometer for temperature measurements of metals. Sensor head max. temperature 120ºC without cooling.

The small infrared measuring head is perfectly suited for installation in very limited spaces and allows for an especially cost-efficient mechanical process integration.

OPTRIS CSlaser lt

The infrared thermometer optris CSlaser LT consists of a robust stainless steel sensor with integrated electronics, enabling easy integration into your system.

Its innovative double laser sight allows for an exact marking of measurement spots even on smallest objects. A variety of optics enables adaptation for a broad range of different applications. Additionally, the IR thermometer offers a standardized two-wire interface for a reliable transfer of measurement data and easy integration into a Siemens SPS.

OPTris CTlaser LT

The infrared thermometer optris CTlaser LT allows for exact temperature measurement on smallest objects from 0,9 mm at a distance of 70 mm. The IR thermometer optris CTlaser LTF is due to its short configuration time of only 9 ms perfectly suited for surveillance of quick working processes.
